Last modified: November 17, 2017

I have so many friends who are bloggers and web masters and they often ask me for plugin suggestions for their sites. Having the right set of tools can help you take sites to the next level. In this article, we will share the must recommended WordPress plugins for your wordpress websites in 2017-2018. So let’s start from here:

1. Akismet Anti-Spam

Every WordPress installation comes with two plugins pre-installed. One of them is Akismet, which is definitely in the first position of our list today. And here is the reason why:

Akismet is a comment spam filtering service.  Akismet catches blog comment and pingback spam using their algorithms. This algorithm learns from its mistakes and from the actions taken by participating websites. For example, when a number of websites start reporting similar looking content as spam, then Akismet will learn to identify that kind of content as SPAM in the future

Lucky that you dont have to install it since it is pre-installed. All you need to do is active it in Plugin page in Admin panel of your site.

2. WordPress SEO by Yoast

One of the most popular and widely used WordPress plugins. WordPress SEO by Yoast brings in all the important SEO related features to your WordPress site. I like the on page SEO feature by this plugin; it’s useful for any WordPress user as it provides you a glimpse of how well your blog post is optimized.

Also, it creates the XML sitemap for your site, and you don’t need to use any other WordPress plugin for creating the sitemap for you.
